Yael Levi

Yael Levi began baking sourdough bread in 2011 after being inspired by Master Baker Nancy Silverton, who compared feeding sourdough starter to nursing a toddler. This inspiration, led to the starting and nurturing of her starter, her ‘Baby,’  and the making of many real breads. Since the beginning, ‘Baby’ has been fed and nurtured with whole grains and organic flours, keeping the starter robust and ready to produce many varieties of Baby’s Bread. Natural and real is the philosophy that Yael holds by. Yael’s breads are made with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, along with freshly milled organic flours and natural additions. Baby’s Bread is proud to be making wholesome and real bread that is not only nutritious but also delicious.
Baby’s Bread has been recognized by The Bread Guide as one of Ohio’s Best Bread Bakeries/Boulangeries per State in the USA.

Dr. Shoshana Ginsburg

Shoshana Ginsburg graduated from The Ohio State University with her doctorate in Food Science and Technology. Her research focused on the fat found in butter’s chemistry and physical properties. She has spent countless hours making butter and analyzing the end product to get a soft and spreadable butter.

All profits  will be donated to the women and families of Kfar Saba, Columbus’s Partner city, whose husbands are serving in the IDF reserves. There are over 1,000 women who are single-handedly supporting and holding down their forts as their husbands are defending Israel. Many of these women have been alone for months at a time. These women could use our moral support and help. Our donation will go towards giving them a gift for the holiday of Shavuot. Any donation is welcomed. Thank you.

Participants take home:  A lined banneton, stainless steel mixing bowl, dough scraper, instructions, recipe, sourdough starter, homemade cultured butter
