About Ahavas Sholom
Ahavas Sholom, an orthodox synagogue, nusach sephard, established over 100 years ago, serves a vibrant and inclusive congregation. We are proud of how each member brings his or her own story to our community—such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those who are new to the city or Ahavas Sholom. People of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community have a place to call home. We are 10 minutes from the Columbus airport, 10 minutes to downtown, and 15 minutes to The Ohio State University.
Learning
Our educational programs are first-class. Our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning. The Rabbi teaches a Yeshiva style Gemara class, before Shacharis, Monday thru Friday. Mishna Yomi Sunday through Friday is after Shacharis. The Men's Senior Scholars Chabura meets Wednesday afternoons for chavrusa style learning and a shiur given by Rabbi Steinberg. And on Shabbos there is a shiur given by one of the Kollel Rabbis, 30 minutes before Mincha.
