Special Shalosh seudos in honor of Jack and Shelley Levey and Barbara Cooper, Shabbos August 17, 7pm
Please join us for this special farewell Shalosh Seudos for Jack and Shelley Levey and Barbara Cooper. They have been an integral part of Ahavas Sholom and our Jewish community. We wish them success in Israel as they make Aliyah. They are loved and will be missed.
Jack has been a mainstay of the daily minyan, long time Talmud student, provided the shul pro bono legal services, served on the board and as acting president. Shelley has headed, organized and worked for multiple shul events, kiddushes, lunches, and dinners for decades. She founded and has run the annual cholent cookoff for years. Shelley could always be counted on to do a job responsibly and professionally.
Barbara moved here from Massachusetts to be with her son Matt and his family. Her cheerful demeanor and friendly smile brightens the shul. She has helped build the success of our local kosher Matt's Bakery. She joined the Chevra kadisha, and helpled with that important mitzvah for several years. She has helped set up the weekly kiddush for many years.
