Rabbi
Avrohom A. Feldman received semicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg, senior
member of the Jerusalem Rabbinate and from Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz, Av Beis
Din of the Rabbinical Council of America. Rabbi Feldman studied in the Lakewood
Yeshiva, Yeshivat Haichel Hatorah in Jerusalem, and at Ner Israel Rabbinical College
in Baltimore, MD. While attending Ner Israel, Rabbi Feldman attended the University
of Maryland.
Rabbi Feldman has worked in the rabbinate and Jewish Education
for the past 10 years. Most recently he served as Associate Rabbi of Congregation
Beth Jacob in Atlanta, GA., a 600 family congregation. Rabbi Feldman was the key
force behind the revamping of the conversion process in Atlanta and served as
the Director of the Conversion Beis Din. His role also included counseling, drashos,
lectures (halacha, medical ethics, history, etc), officiating life cycle events
and NCSY and young couples events. He participated on the Atlanta Kashrus Commission
as a member of its Rabbinic Kashrus Advisory Board. In addition, he also has served
as the Assistant Rabbi and Education Director of Young Israel of Kendall in Miami.
Upon his arrival, Rabbi Feldman seeks to make sure that Ahavas Sholom provides
a warm and welcoming environment to Jews of all backgrounds and of all ages, where
they can maximize their spiritual growth, through the study of Torah and internalizing
its ideals. He believes that the synagogue should be a place where people gather
to reach out and celebrate in good times and to seek comfort and guidance in challenging
times.
Mrs. Temima Feldman is a graduate of Shulamith High School, Michlala
Seminary and Touro College. While in Atlanta, Temima was a general studies teacher
